On Sunday, May 17th, the day after the Club Space Fish Reunion Show, Will’s Pub will host the Club Space Fish Super Fantastic Story Hour—a laid-back gathering for fish fans, alumni, and friends of the scene to reconnect, reminisce, and dive deeper into the legacy of Space Fish.
The afternoon will feature a panel discussion with key figures behind the movement, including Space Fish Records founders Mike Brown and Michael Bales, along with DJ Skeeter, Quiz Master Al, advice columnist Girth Rimway, and other notable contributors to the Club Space Fish story. The discussion will be moderated by Jeremy Hileman of the Orange County Regional History Center.
Attendees will be invited to share memories and stories from Club Space Fish and Orlando’s vibrant ’80s and ’90s music scene during a Q&A session.
“Both Space Fish Records and Club Space Fish were vital parts of Orlando’s music community during the 80s and early 90s,” said Hileman. “Their contributions deserve to be preserved for posterity, and I’m thrilled that items representing Space Fish will be added to the History Center’s collection. I’m also looking forward to being part of this panel—I have no doubt it will be a lot of fun.”
The event will also feature themed cocktails, light fare, and prizes from the Wheel of Fish trivia game. Attendees can browse and purchase merchandise, including Space Fish memorabilia, T-shirts, CDs from the five reunited bands, and a special reunion issue of SPLASH magazine, the official publication of Space Fish Records.
The Club Space Fish Super Fantastic Story Hour is free and open to the public, taking place from 2–5 PM on Sunday, May 17 at Will’s Pub.
