History
Formed in the late ’80s, The Orlando band The Riddlers original line-up consisted of Chris Damiano on guitar and vocals, Dave Ewing on guitar and vocals, Trey Romano on bass, and John Washburn on drums and vocals. Known for sweat-drenched manic live shows featuring high energy and melodic tunes melding ’60s British Invasion and ’70s power pop/punk, the band gained a loyal local following.
About halfway through their three-year tenure, Trey left the band to team up with Corey Sheridan and Aaron Zacktan to form Corduroy. After Trey's departure, other bassists included Jim Leatherman, Bill Stewart, Clay Watson, and special guests Andrew Dalio and Marty Everett.

The Riddlers were a staple of the Orlando music scene playing venues like Decades (after the move from Park Avenue to the University and Dean location), Visage, The Beacham Theater, The Beach Club (including on Club Space Fish nights), and Below Zero, just to name a few. One high point was playing two consecutive packed nights at the Beacham Theater, the first for PETA's Fur Is Dead Benefit and then an opening slot for one of the band's favorite acts, The Hoodoo Gurus. The boys also frequently got out of Orlando to play Miami, Tampa, Melbourne, and even Atlanta.
The band's focus was always on playing live, but they did release a four-song EP cassette, “Blonde Haired Cop” as well as a never released follow up full-length album that unfortunately never saw the light of day. Lucky for you, Orlando Punk Archive's Joshua Dobbs has lovingly remastered, not only both studio recordings but a live radio performance on WPRK in 1990 that can be found on the Bandcamp link on this page.
Reunion
All four original members of The Riddlers will be taking the stage for the historical Club Space Fish Reunion Show.
